It is with great disappointment that I make this announcement that the school committee voted tonight against ratifying the Unit C new contract. I am not sure what the WEAs next steps will be but will keep you all posted.
As you know, one of the main goals of the Unit C negotiation team was to have their contract renewed at the same time as all other units to ensure equity in negotiations and to save time, money and resources for both the district and the Association. That alone was the reason behind the denial of the school committee members who voted no.
